(Medisave Account Withdrawals)
(Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2023
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 77(1)(j) of the Central Provident Fund Act 1953, the Minister for Manpower, after consulting with the Central Provident Fund Board, makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Central Provident Fund (Medisave Account Withdrawals) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2023 and come into operation on 1 October 2023.
Amendment of regulation 3
2.  In the Central Provident Fund (Medisave Account Withdrawals) Regulations (Rg 17) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations), in regulation 3 —
(a)in paragraph (1)(a)(i), delete “or” at the end;
(b)in paragraph (1)(a), after sub-paragraph (i), insert —
(ia)at home provided by an approved medical practitioner of an approved medical institution; or”;
(c)in paragraph (3)(a)(i)(A), delete “or” at the end; and
(d)in paragraph (3)(a)(i), after sub‑paragraph (A), insert —
(AA)any medical treatment or psychiatric treatment at home, provided by an approved medical practitioner of an approved medical institution; or”.
Amendment of regulation 14
3.  In the principal Regulations, in regulation 14(1), replace “or by way of approved remote consultation” with “, or at home or by way of approved remote consultation”.
Amendment of regulation 14A
4.  In the principal Regulations, in regulation 14A(1), replace “in an approved clinic, approved hospital, approved community hospital or approved CIT medical institution” with “either in an approved clinic, approved hospital, approved community hospital or approved CIT medical institution, or at home as a patient of an approved clinic or approved CIT medical institution”.
Amendment of regulation 14B
5.  In the principal Regulations, in regulation 14B(1), replace “in an approved clinic, approved hospital or approved screening centre” with “either in an approved clinic, approved hospital or approved screening centre, or at home as a patient of an approved clinic”.
Amendment of regulation 24
6.  In the principal Regulations, in regulation 24(1) —
(a)replace sub‑paragraph (f) with —
(f)any approved chronic illness treatment provided on an out‑patient basis by an approved medical practitioner either —
(i)in an approved CIT medical institution; or
(ii)at home or by way of approved remote consultation as a patient of an approved CIT medical institution;”;
(b)replace sub‑paragraph (h) with —
(h)any approved vaccination (other than against Hepatitis B) provided on an out‑patient basis by an approved medical practitioner either —
(i)in an approved clinic, approved hospital, approved community hospital or approved CIT medical institution; or
(ii)at home as a patient of an approved clinic or approved CIT medical institution;”; and
(c)replace sub‑paragraph (j) with —
(j)any approved screening provided on an out‑patient basis by an approved medical practitioner either —
(i)in an approved clinic, approved hospital or approved screening centre; or
(ii)at home as a patient of an approved clinic;”.
