(Lloyd’s Asia Scheme) (Amendment)
Regulations 2013

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 35B and 35L of the Insurance Act, the Monetary Authority of Singapore hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Insurance (Lloyd’s Asia Scheme) (Amendment) Regulations 2013 and shall come into operation on 18th April 2013.

Amendment of regulation 7

2. Regulation 7 of the Insurance (Lloyd’s Asia Scheme) Regulations (Rg 9) (referred to in these Regulations as the principal Regulations) is amended by deleting paragraph (4).

Amendment of regulation 15

3. Regulation 15 of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting paragraph (2).

Amendment of regulation 24

4. Regulation 24 of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting “14,”.

Amendment of Fifth Schedule

5. The Fifth Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “Registered insurer” in Annex 1H of Form 1 and substituting the words “Licensed insurer”;
(b)	by deleting the words “Unregistered reinsurer” in Annex 1H of Form 1 and substituting the words “Unlicensed reinsurer”;
(c)	by deleting the words “unregistered reinsurer” and “section 8A” in paragraph 14 of the Notes to Form 1 in Form 1 and substituting the words “unlicensed reinsurer” and “section 34”, respectively;
(d)	by deleting the word “registered” in paragraph 14 of the Notes to Form 1 in Form 1 and substituting the word “licensed”;
(e)	by deleting the words “Registered insurer” in Annex 2A of Form 2 and substituting the words “Licensed insurer”;
(f)	by deleting the words “Unregistered reinsurer” in Annex 2A of Form 2 and substituting the words “Unlicensed reinsurer”;
(g)	by deleting the words “unregistered reinsurer” in paragraph 6 under the Instructions for completion of Form 2 and Annexes 2A to 2E in Form 2 and substituting the words “unlicensed reinsurer”; and
(h)	by deleting the words “registered” and “section 8A” in paragraph 6 under the Instructions for completion of Form 2 and Annexes 2A to 2E in Form 2 and substituting the words “licensed” and “section 34”, respectively.
