(Miscellaneous Amendments)
Rules 2023

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21(2) of the Boundaries and Survey Maps Act 1998, the Singapore Land Authority, with the approval of the Minister for Law, makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Boundaries and Survey Maps (Miscellaneous Amendments) Rules 2023 and are deemed to have come into operation on 31 December 2021.

Amendment of Boundaries and Survey Maps (Conduct of Cadastral Surveys) Rules

2. In the Boundaries and Survey Maps (Conduct of Cadastral Surveys) Rules (R 5) —

(a)

in rule 2(1), in the definition of “strata subdivision”, replace “(Cap. 158)” with “1967”;

(b)

in rule 2(1), in the definition of “subdivided building”, after “Land Titles (Strata) Act”, insert “1967”;

(c)

in rule 14, replace “section 11A(2)” with “section 12(2)”;

(d)

in the following provisions, replace “(Cap. 156)” with “1991”:

Rule 56(1)(a);

(e)

in the following provisions, replace “section 11C” with “section 14”:

(f)

3. In the Boundaries and Survey Maps (Singapore Land Authority Fees) Rules (R 6), in rule 2(1), replace “section 11D(3)(b)” with “section 15(3)(b)”.

Amendment of Boundaries and Survey Maps (Electronic Transmission) Rules

4. In the Boundaries and Survey Maps (Electronic Transmission) Rules (R 7), in the following provisions, replace “(Cap. 156)” with “1991”:

Rule 2, definition of “registered surveyor”

Rule 4(a).
