Citation
1.  This Notification may be cited as the Fire Safety (Specification of Premises Requiring Fire Safety Managers) Notification.
Premises requiring fire safety manager
2.  The Minister hereby specifies the following premises to be premises in respect of which the owner or occupier is required to appoint a fire safety manager:
(a)any public building that is issued with a certificate of statutory completion or a temporary occupation permit under section 21 of the Building Control Act (Cap. 29) or a certificate of fitness for occupation issued under any regulations made under the repealed Building Control Act (Cap. 29, 1985 Ed.), and —
(i)is of 9 storeys or more (including any basement) in height;
(ii)is used, constructed or adapted to be used as a hospital;
(iii)has a floor area of 5,000 square metres or more; or
(iv)has an occupant load of 1,000 persons or more; and
(b)any premises permitted to be used pursuant to the Planning Act (Cap. 232) or any other written law for industrial purposes that is issued with a certificate of statutory completion or a temporary occupation permit under section 21 of the Building Control Act (Cap. 29) or a certificate of fitness for occupation issued under any regulations made under the repealed Building Control Act (Cap. 29, 1985 Ed.), and —
(i)has a floor area or site area of 5,000 square metres or more; or
(ii)has an occupant load of 1,000 persons or more.
