(Correspondence with Members) Rules

Citation
1.  These Rules may be cited as the People’s Association (Correspondence with Members) Rules.
Definitions
2.  In these Rules —
“Chief Executive Director” means the Chief Executive Director of the Association and includes any person acting on his behalf or under his direction;
“member” means —
(a)any member of the Association; or
(b)any member of any committee appointed by, or of any community centre, club, institute or other body managed or run by, the Board pursuant to section 9(2) of the Act.
Correspondence with members
3.—(1)  Where the Chief Executive Director requires to correspond with any member, he shall send the correspondence to the member at such address as may have been supplied to the Chief Executive Director by the member for the purpose.
(2)  Subject to paragraph (3), every member shall notify the Chief Executive Director in writing of any change in the address at which the Chief Executive Director may correspond with him.
(3)  Where a member uses his residential address as the address at which the Chief Executive Director may correspond with him, then, if he has changed his residential address and has made a report of the change under section 8 of the National Registration Act (Cap. 201) he shall be deemed to have notified the Chief Executive Director of the change in the address at which the Chief Executive Director may correspond with him in compliance with paragraph (2).
