Citation
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Town Councils (Allowances for Chairman and Members) Rules.
Allowances
2.  The monthly allowance payable to the Chairman, Vice-Chairman and other members of a Town Council managing such number of equivalent dwelling units specified in the first column of the First Schedule shall be such amount as may be determined by the Town Council not exceeding the amount specified in relation to that number in the second, third and fourth columns, respectively, of that Schedule.
Equivalent dwelling units
3.  For the purposes of rule 2, the equivalent dwelling units managed by a Town Council shall be ascertained —
(a)by multiplying the number of units of each type of property specified in the first column of the Second Schedule managed by the Town Council by the factor specified in relation to that type of property in the second column of that Schedule; and
(b)by adding the number ascertained in accordance with paragraph (a) in respect of each type of property.
