Environmental Public Health Act
(Chapter 95)
Environmental Public Health (Public Cleansing) (Amendment) Regulations 1999
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 114 of the Environmental Public Health Act, the Minister for the Environment hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Environmental Public Health (Public Cleansing) (Amendment) Regulations 1999 and shall come into operation on 1st April 1999.
Amendment of First Schedule
2.  The First Schedule to the Environmental Public Health (Public Cleansing) Regulations (Rg 3) is amended —
(a)by deleting paragraph (a) of Item I and substituting the following paragraph:
(a) For any refuse, matter or thing conveyed to a public disposal facility, other than Ulu Pandan Refuse Incineration Plant or Kim Chuan Transfer Station, by any person at his expense for disposal, burning or deposition thereat, which refuse, matter or thing the Commissioner, in his discretion, accepts for the said purpose —
(i) cumulative load below half a tonne per vehicle per day
 
Nil.
(ii) cumulative load of half a tonne and above per vehicle per day
 
(a) Disposal Base Gate Fee
$28.50 for the first half a tonne and $2.85 for every additional 0.05 tonne or part thereof; and
 
 
(b) Peak Period Surcharge
Nil.

(b)by deleting sub-paragraphs (i) and (ii) of Item I (b) and substituting the following sub-paragraphs:
(i) cumulative load below half a tonne per vehicle per day
 
Nil.
(ii) cumulative load of half a tonne and above per vehicle per day
 
(a) Disposal Base Gate Fee
$30 for the first half a tonne and $3 for every additional 0.05 tonne or part thereof; and
 
 
(b) Peak Period Surcharge
In addition to the fee payable under sub-paragraph (a), $3 for the first half a tonne and $0.30 for every additional 0.05 tonne or part thereof between 7.30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

(c)by deleting sub-paragraphs (i) and (ii) of Item II (b) and substituting the following sub-paragraphs:
(i) cumulative load below half a tonne per vehicle per day
 
Nil.
(ii) cumulative load of half a tonne and above per vehicle per day
 
(a) Disposal Base Gate Fee
$28.50 for the first half a tonne and $2.85 for every additional 0.05 tonne or part thereof; and
 
 
(b) Peak Period Surcharge
Nil.
