(Pulau Ubin Micro-Grid Test-Bed — Exemption)
(No. 2) Order 2021

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 8 of the Electricity Act, the Energy Market Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Trade and Industry, makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order is the Electricity (Pulau Ubin Micro‑Grid Test‑Bed — Exemption) (No. 2) Order 2021 and comes into operation on 1 January 2022.

Definitions

2. In this Order —

“first consortium” means the consortium of Daily Life Renewable Energy Pte Ltd and OKH Holdings Pte Ltd;

“Project” means the project known as the “Pulau Ubin Micro‑Grid Test‑Bed”;

“Project Agreement” means the Project Agreement dated 1 July 2011 —

(a)	entered into between the Authority and the first consortium;
(b)	as amended by the Supplemental Agreement dated 1 July 2021 entered into between the Authority and the second consortium; and
(c)	which provides for the Project Agreement to be carried out and completed by Sunseap Energy Ventures Pte Ltd starting on 1 January 2022 following the withdrawal of Daily Life Renewable Energy Pte Ltd and OKH Holdings Pte Ltd from the second consortium;

“relevant period” means the period starting on 1 January 2022 and ending on the earlier of the following:

(a)	30 June 2022;
(b)	the date of termination of the Project Agreement;

“second consortium” means the consortium of Daily Life Renewable Energy Pte Ltd, OKH Holdings Pte Ltd and Sunseap Energy Ventures Pte Ltd.

Exemption from section 6(1)(a), (b), (c) and (e) of Act

3. Section 6(1)(a), (b), (c) and (e) of the Act does not apply to Sunseap Energy Ventures Pte Ltd for the relevant period in respect of its activities carried out at Pulau Ubin in connection with the Project.

Revocation

4. The Electricity (Pulau Ubin Micro‑Grid Test‑Bed — Exemption) Order 2021 (G.N. No. S 423/2021) is revoked.
