Merchant Shipping
(Property of Deceased Seamen)
(Amendment) Regulations 2020
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 87(1) of the Merchant Shipping Act, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Merchant Shipping (Property of Deceased Seamen) (Amendment) Regulations 2020 and come into operation on 2 January 2021.
Amendment of regulation 8
2.  Regulation 8(3) of the Merchant Shipping (Property of Deceased Seamen) Regulations (Rg 23) is amended by deleting the words “the High Court, and that Court” and substituting the words “the General Division of the High Court, and the General Division of the High Court”.
