Employment of Foreign Workers (Levy)
(Amendment) Order 1998

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 11(1) of the Employment of Foreign Workers Act, the Minister for Labour hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Employment of Foreign Workers (Levy) (Amendment) Order 1998 and shall come into operation on 1st April 1998.

Amendment of paragraph 3

2. Paragraph 3 of the Employment of Foreign Workers (Levy) Order (O 1) is amended —

(a)	by deleting “$330” in the second line and “$11” in the penultimate line of sub-paragraph (3) and substituting “$345” and “$12”, respectively;
(b)	by deleting “$200” in the second line and in the last line of sub-paragraph (4) and substituting in each case “$100”;
(c)	by deleting “$7” in the fifth line of sub-paragraph (4) and substituting “$4”;
(d)	by deleting “$440” in the second line and in the last line of sub-paragraph (5) and substituting in each case “$470”;
(e)	by deleting “$15” in the sixth line of sub-paragraph (5) and substituting “$16”;
(f)	by deleting “$440” in the second line of sub-paragraph (6) and substituting “$470”;
(g)	by deleting “$200” in the fifth line and in the eleventh line of sub-paragraph (6) and substituting in each case “$100”;
(h)	by deleting “$440” in the seventh line and “$200” in the tenth line of sub-paragraph (7) and substituting “$470” and “$100”, respectively;
(i)	by deleting “$200” in the second line and in the penultimate line of sub-paragraph (8) and substituting in each case “$100”;
(j)	by deleting “$7” in the fifth line of sub-paragraph (8) and substituting “$4”;
(k)	by deleting “$200” in the fifth line and in the tenth line of sub-paragraph (10) and substituting in each case “$100”;
(l)	by deleting “$200” in the third line and in the penultimate line of sub-paragraph (17) and substituting in each case “$100”;
(m)	by deleting “$7” in the seventh line of sub-paragraph (17) and substituting “$4”;
(n)	by deleting “$200” in the sixth line and in the fourteenth line of sub-paragraph (17B) and substituting in each case “$100”;
(o)	by deleting “$200” in sub-paragraph (20)(a) and substituting “$100”;
(p)	by deleting “$7” in the third line and “$200” in the penultimate line of sub-paragraph (20)(b) and substituting “$4” and “$100”, respectively; and
(q)	by deleting “$200” in the fifth line and “$7” in the penultimate line of sub-paragraph (23) and substituting “$100” and “$4”, respectively.
