Moneylenders Act

Moneylenders (Amendment) Rules 1998
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 37 of the Moneylenders Act, the Minister for Law hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Moneylenders (Amendment) Rules 1998 and shall come into operation on 1st April 1998.
New rules 19 and 20
2.  The Moneylenders Rules (R 1) are amended by inserting, immediately after rule 18, the following rules:
“Search fees
19.  There shall be charged a fee of $20 for every application to the Registrar for manual search for any information.
Fees for administering oaths
20.  There shall be charged by the Registrar a fee of $5 for taking or re-taking an affidavit or affirmation or attestation upon honour in lieu of an affidavit or a declaration or an acknowledgment, for each person making the affidavit, affirmation or attestation.”.
