(Exemption from Sections 33, 34 (1) (b) and 35) Notification 2001

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 73 of the Telecommunications Act, the Minister for Communications and Information Technology hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Telecommunications (Exemption from sections 33, 34(1)(b) and 35) Notification 2001 and shall come into operation on 2nd March 2001.

Exemption

2. Sections 33, 34(1)(b) and 35 of the Act shall not apply to any person in respect of —

(a)	the possession, establishment, installation, maintenance, provision or operation of any network or station as defined in the Telecommunications (Radio-communication) Regulations 2001 (G.N. No. S 114/2001) where the person has been permitted by the Authority to use any radio frequency band in respect of the network or station under regulation 75 of those Regulations; and
(b)	the in-building or localised on-site installation or operation of the equipment specified in the Schedule.
