Patents (Amendment No. 2) Rules 1998

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 42, 110 and 115 of the Patents Act, the Minister for Law hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Patents (Amendment No. 2) Rules 1998 and shall come into operation on 1st June 1998.

Amendment of First Schedule

2. The First Schedule to the Patents Rules (R 1) is amended —

(a)	by deleting “350” in item 3 under the heading “Amount” and substituting “380”;
(b)	by deleting “38” in item 5 under the heading “Amount” and substituting “41”;
(c)	by deleting “350” in item 6 under the heading “Amount” and substituting “380”;
(d)	by deleting “350” in item 7 under the heading “Amount” and substituting “380”;
(e)	by deleting “350” in item 8 under the heading “Amount” and substituting “380”;
(f)	by deleting “200” in item 23 under the heading “Amount” and substituting “220”;
(g)	by deleting “10” in items 24 and 26 under the heading “Amount” and substituting in each case “12”;
(h)	by deleting “58” in item 25 under the heading “Amount” and substituting “63”;
(i)	by deleting “5” in item 27(d) under the heading “Amount” and substituting “6”;
(j)	by deleting “360” in item 31 under the heading “Amount” and substituting “380”;
(k)	by deleting “80” in item 33 under the heading “Amount” and substituting “90”;
(l)	by deleting “200” in item 34 under the heading “Amount” and substituting “220”;
(m)	by deleting “200” in item 35 under the heading “Amount” and substituting “220”;
(n)	by deleting “15” in item 44 under the heading “Amount” and substituting “18”;
(o)	by deleting “80” in item 45 under the heading “Amount” and substituting “85”; and
(p)	by deleting “22” in item 46 under the heading “Amount” and substituting “24”;
