Limited Liability Partnerships (Amendment) Regulations 2017

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 56 of the Limited Liability Partnerships Act, the Minister for Finance makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Limited Liability Partnerships (Amendment) Regulations 2017 and come into operation on 31 March 2017.

New regulation 15B

2. The Limited Liability Partnerships Regulations (Rg 1) are amended by inserting, immediately after regulation 15A, the following regulation:

“Prescribed information to be contained in annual declaration

15B. For the purposes of section 24(1A) of the Act, the declaration mentioned in section 24(1) of the Act must contain a statement as to whether —

(a)	the register of controllers of the limited liability partnership is kept at the limited liability partnership’s registered office; or
(b)	the register of controllers of the limited liability partnership is kept at the registered office of a registered filing agent appointed by the limited liability partnership for the purpose of keeping the register of controllers.”.

Amendment of First Schedule

3. Item 7 of the First Schedule to the Limited Liability Partnerships Regulations is amended by deleting the words “of solvency or insolvency”.
