Trade Marks (Amendment) Rules 1998

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 66 of the Trade Marks Act, the Minister for Law hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Trade Marks (Amendment) Rules 1998 and shall come into operation on 1st June 1998.

Amendment of First Schedule

2. The First Schedule to the Trade Marks Rules (R 1) is amended —

(a)	by deleting “480” in item 6 under the heading “Amount” and substituting “515”;
(b)	by deleting “300” in items 7 and 10 under the heading “Amount” and substituting in each case “325”;
(c)	by deleting “325” in items 9 and 12 under the heading “Amount” and substituting in each case “350”;
(d)	by deleting “60” in items 16 and 25 under the heading “Amount” and substituting in each case “65”;
(e)	by deleting “205” in item 34 under the heading “Amount” and substituting “225”;
(f)	by deleting “65” in item 50 under the heading “Amount” and substituting “70”; and
(g)	by deleting “270” in items 8, 11 and 32 under the heading “Amount” and substituting in each case “290”.

Amendment of Second Schedule

3. The Second Schedule to the Trade Marks Rules is amended —

(a)	by deleting “$480” against the word “Fee” in Form TM 7 and substituting “$515”;
(b)	by deleting “$300” against the word “Fee” in Forms TM 11 and TM 14 and substituting in each case “$325”;
(c)	by deleting “$325” against the word “Fee” in Forms TM 13 and TM 16 and substituting in each case “$350”;
(d)	by deleting “$60” against the word “Fee” in Forms TM 17 and TM 22 and substituting in each case “$65”;
(e)	by deleting “$205” against the word “Fee” in Form TM 28 and substituting “$225”;
(f)	by deleting “$65” against the word “Fee” in Form TM 45 and substituting “$70”; and
(g)	by deleting “$270” against the word “Fee” in Forms TM 12, TM 15 and TM 36 and substituting in each case “$290”.
