Singapore Academy of Law
(Amendment) Rules 2014

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 27 of the Singapore Academy of Law Act, the Senate of the Singapore Academy of Law hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Singapore Academy of Law (Amendment) Rules 2014 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 3rd December 2013.

Deletion and substitution of rule 16

2. Rule 16 of the Singapore Academy of Law Rules (R 1) is deleted and the following rule substituted therefor:

“Delegation of duties

16. The Executive Committee and any committee may at any time appoint a sub‑committee consisting of —

(a)	at least one member from the Executive Committee or the committee, as the case may be;
(b)	any number of members of the Academy; and
(c)	any number of persons who are not members of the Academy,

to perform or carry out such tasks as may be directed by the Executive Committee or the committee, as the case may be.”.
