Public Order (Election Meetings) (Amendment) Regulations 2011
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 47 of the Public Order Act 2009, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Public Order (Election Meetings) (Amendment) Regulations 2011 and shall come into operation on 14th March 2011.
Amendment of regulation 2
2.  Regulation 2 of the Public Order (Election Meetings) Regulations 2009 (G.N. No. S 486/2009) is amended —
(a)by inserting, immediately after the words “a public assembly” in paragraphs (a) and (b), the words “(whether held wholly inside a building or enclosed premises or outdoors)”;
(b)by deleting the words “between nomination day and the day before polling day (both days inclusive)” in paragraph (a)(i) and substituting the words “at any time on or after nomination day but before the eve of polling day”; and
(c)by deleting the words “between the day of nomination and the day before polling day (both days inclusive)” in paragraph (a)(ii) and substituting the words “at any time on or after nomination day but before the eve of polling day”.
