Legal Aid and Advice Act
(Amendment of Second Schedule) Notification 2001

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Legal Aid and Advice Act, the Minister for Law hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Legal Aid and Advice Act (Amendment of Second Schedule) Notification 2001 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2001.

Amendment of Second Schedule

2. The Second Schedule to the Legal Aid and Advice Act is amended —

(a)	by deleting “$7,000” in paragraph 1(b) and substituting “$10,000”;
(b)	by deleting “$1,000” in sub-paragraph (a) of the definition of “disposable income” in paragraph 4 and substituting “$2,000”; and
(c)	by deleting “$2,000” in sub-paragraph (b) of the definition of “disposable income” in paragraph 4 and substituting “$3,000”.
