Citation and commencement |
1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Collection of Toll at Woodlands and Tuas Checkpoints) Rules 2000 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2000. |

Toll for driving motor vehicle on causeways |
3.—(1) A toll of the appropriate amount specified in the Schedule shall be payable by the driver of a motor vehicle on every occasion he uses —

4.—(1) The toll payable by the driver of a motor vehicle registered under the Act shall be paid by —

Failure to pay toll |
5.—(1) Any person who fails to pay toll in accordance with rules 3 and 4 shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $1,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 months and, in the case of a second or subsequent offence, to a fine not exceeding $2,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months.

6.—(1) Any person who —

7. Where a person driving a motor vehicle has committed, or is reasonably believed by the Registrar or an authorised officer to have committed, an offence under rule 5 or 6, the Registrar or authorised officer may prohibit such person from driving the motor vehicle past the checkpoint into or out of Singapore, as the case may be. |

9. The Road Traffic (Collection of Tolls at Woodlands and Tuas Checkpoints) Rules 1998 (G.N. No. S 101/98) are revoked. |
