(Chapter 106)

Fees (Winding Up of Companies) (Amendment) Order 1998

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Fees Act, the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Fees (Winding up of Companies) (Amendment) Order 1998 and shall come into operation on 1st April 1998.

Amendment of Schedule

2. The Schedule to the Fees (Winding up of Companies) Order (O 35) is amended —

(a)

by deleting item (4) and substituting the following items:

“(4)	For every application to the Official Receiver for manual search for information

$20

(4A)	For each document inspected

$6”;

(b)

by deleting the words “lodged with the Official Receiver” in item (5);

(c)

by inserting, immediately after the word “liquidator” in the third line of item (8), the words “or deals with the assets or affairs of dissolved companies”;

(d)

by deleting the words “special duties” in the first and second lines of item (10) and substituting the words “or does anything”;

(e)

by deleting the words “Fee for each name search” in item (14) and substituting the words “For every application through remote access via commercial network for search for information maintained”; and

(f)

by inserting, immediately after item 14, the following items:

“(15)

For every application through the public search system for search for information maintained in electronic form

(16)	For every proof of debt

(17)	For taking or re-taking an affidavit or an affirmation or attestation upon honour in lieu of an affidavit or a declaration or an acknowledgment for each person making the affidavit, affirmation or attestation

$5.”.
