Land Titles (Amendment) Rules 2001

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 170(1) of the Land Titles Act, the Minister for Law hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Land Titles (Amendment) Rules 2001 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2001.

Amendment of Schedule

2. The Schedule to the Land Titles Rules (R 1) is amended —

(a)

by deleting “$35” in item 5 and substituting “$37”;

(b)

by deleting paragraph (7) of item 5;

(c)

by inserting, immediately after item 5, the following item:

“

5A. Explaining the meaning of the certificate of correctness under section 59 of the Act and verifying the identity and capacity of the person executing the certificate including the attestation thereof

”;

(d)

by deleting “$30” in item 7 and substituting “$40”;

(e)

by deleting “$200” in item 8 and substituting “$250”;

(f)

by deleting “$200” in item 9 and substituting “$250”;

(g)

by deleting “$35” in item 13 and substituting “$45”;

(h)

by deleting “$45” in item 14 and substituting “$60”; and

(i)

by deleting paragraph (3) of item 15 and substituting the following paragraph :

“

(3) For supplying to a regular bulk searcher a copy of any instrument or document (not listed in paragraph (1)), available for public search on such terms and conditions as the Registrar considers fit

$1 per page or part thereof

”.
