Newspaper and Printing Presses (Exemption) (No. 2) (Amendment No. 2) Order 2008

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 44(1)(b)(ii) of the Newspaper and Printing Presses Act, the Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Newspaper and Printing Presses (Exemption) (No. 2) (Amendment No. 2) Order 2008.

(2) Paragraph 2(b) shall come into operation on 28th March 2008.

(3) Paragraph 2(a) and (c) shall come into operation on 1st April 2008.

Amendment of Schedule

2. The Schedule to the Newspaper and Printing Presses (Exemption) (No. 2) Order 2004 (G.N. No. S 507/2004) is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “MediaCorp Publishing Pte Ltd” in the second column of items 2 and 47 and substituting in each case the words “MediaCorp Pte Ltd”;
(b)	by deleting the words “Macquarie Securities (S) Pte Ltd” in the second column of item 43 and substituting the words “Macquarie Capital Securities (S) Pte Ltd”; and
(c)	by deleting the words “Nikkan Indian Business” in the first column of item 60 and substituting the words “NNA Daily — Indian Version”. [G.N. Nos. S 749/2004; S 317/2005; S 586/2005; S 111/2006; S 431/2006; S 580/2006; S 705/2006; S 156/2007; S 405/2007: S 8/2008]
