Merchant Shipping
(Composition of Offences)
(Amendment) Regulations 2020

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 216 of the Merchant Shipping Act, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Merchant Shipping (Composition of Offences) (Amendment) Regulations 2020 and come into operation on 1 July 2020.

Amendment of regulation 2

2. Regulation 2 of the Merchant Shipping (Composition of Offences) Regulations (Rg 16) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the word “or” at the end of paragraph (a); and

(b)

by deleting the full‑stop at the end of paragraph (b) and substituting a semi‑colon, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:

“(c)	any offence (other than a continuing offence) under regulation 9(1), 14(4), 15(4), 16(2), 17(3), 19(2) or (3), 20(2), 21(2), 23(2), 24(3), 25(2), 26(2), 28(3), 29(2) or 30(2) of the Merchant Shipping (Pleasure Craft) Regulations 2020 (G.N. No. S 161/2020).”.
