Public Entertainments and Meetings
(Demerit Points) (Amendment)
Rules 2004

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 15 and 23(1) of the Public Entertainments and Meetings Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Public Entertainments and Meetings (Demerit Points) (Amendment) Rules 2004 and shall come into operation on 7th April 2004.

Amendment of Schedule

2. The Schedule to the Public Entertainments and Meetings (Demerit Points) Rules (R 2) is amended —

(a)

by deleting paragraph 3 of Part II and substituting the following paragraph:

“3. The licensee shall ensure that persons below the age of 16 years are not admitted into the licensed premises at any time on any school day except between 6.30 p.m. and midnight.”; and

(b)

by deleting paragraph 3 of Part IV and substituting the following paragraph:

“3. The licensee shall ensure that persons below the age of 16 years are not admitted into the licensed premises at any time on any school day except between 6.30 p.m. and midnight.”.
