(Fees) (Amendment)
Rules 2009

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 19(1) of the State Lands Act, the Minister for Law hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the State Lands (Fees) (Amendment) Rules 2009 and shall come into operation on 15th May 2009.

Deletion and substitution of Schedule

2. The Schedule to the State Lands (Fees) Rules (R 3) is deleted and the following Schedule substituted therefor:

1.	For every certified or photostat copy of any temporary occupation licence, receipt, grant, lease or other instrument issued by the Commissioner of Lands or Collector of Land Revenue

2.	For the supply of quit rent information

3.	For the processing of an application for alienation of any State land or for the removal of any restrictive condition in a State title or for the upgrading of tenure

4.	For the investigation of title in connection with title surrendered to the President for re-grant of fresh title

5.	For the endorsement of layout or building plans

6.	For the grant of permission —

(a)	to mortgage property

(b)	to assign property

7.	For the sale of site plans

8.	For the sale of tender or auction documentation inviting offers for —

(a)	a tenancy of any State land

(b)	a lease of any State land not within the Government Land Sales Programme

(c)	a lease of any State land within the Government Land Sales Programme

9.	For the processing of an application for a tenancy of any State land

$157.50

10.	For the processing of an application for a licence to occupy any State land for temporary purposes —

(a)	where the occupation is —

$43.80

(i)	for any wake, wedding, on-location filming, religious event (whether or not food or beverage is provided) or soil testing;

(ii)	for any community or social event or activity (but excluding any sales event) organised by a grassroots organisation

(b)	where the occupation is —

$157.50

(i)	for the purpose of any construction worksite, site office or storage area, whether with or without workers’ quarters;

(ii)	for the purpose of any project signboard or any signage whatsoever, outdoor refreshment area, showflat, landscaping, sales event, entertainment event or sports and recreational event

(c)	where the occupation is for a purpose other than as set out in paragraphs (a) and (b), and the licence period does not exceed one day

(d)	where the occupation is for a purpose other than as set out in paragraphs (a) and (b), and the licence period exceeds one day

11.	For each search in electronic form, and printout of, an encroachment boundary plan

12.	For the removal from State land of —

(a)

sand

75 cents per cubic metre

(b)

clay

10 cents per cubic metre

(c)	granite in the mainland of Singapore

10% of the average price of the granite, as published by the Building and Construction Authority from time to time, for the month in which the date of removal of the granite falls

(d)	granite in any of the surrounding islands of Singapore

10% of the average price of the granite, as published by the Building and Construction Authority from time to time, for the month in which the date of removal of the granite falls

(e)	laterite, red earth, iron stone, gravel or puddle

10 cents per cubic metre

(f)	coral or shells

35 cents per cubic metre

(g)

turf

15 cents per square metre or 65 cents per cubic metre, whichever is the greater.
