Telecommunications (Cable Detection Workers) Regulations 2000

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 30 and 74 of the Telecommunications Act 1999, the Info-communications Development Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Communications and Information Technology, hereby makes the following Regulations:

PART I

PRELIMINARY

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Telecommunications (Cable Detection Workers) Regulations 2000 and shall come into operation on 1st July 2000.

Definitions

2. In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires —

“licence” means a licence granted by the Authority permitting a person to perform such telecommunication cable detection work as is specified in the licence;

“licensee” means the holder of a valid licence;

“register” means the register of licensees maintained under regulation 6.
