Government Contracts (Authorisation)
(Amendment) Notification 1998

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Government Contracts Act, the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Government Contracts (Authorisation) (Amendment) Notification 1998 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st April 1998.

Amendment of Schedule

2. Part IX of the Schedule to the Government Contracts (Authorisation) Notification 1998 (G.N. No. S75/98) is amended —

(a)

by deleting item 6 and substituting the following item:

“6.	Director, Singapore Immigration & Registration

Contracts for stores, works and services not exceeding $1 million.”.

(b)

by deleting item 8;

(c)

by deleting the words “Deputy Controller (Administration), Immigration” in the first column of items 18, 26 and 36 and substituting in each case the words “Deputy Directors, Singapore Immigration & Registration”;

(d)

by deleting the words “Heads of Sections” in the first column of item 19 and substituting the words “Senior Managers or Commanders or Heads of Sections”; and

(e)

by deleting the words “Director, National Registration Department” in the first column of items 27 and 37 and substituting in each case the words “Director, Singapore Immigration & Registration”.
