Order 2023

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act 1961, the Minister for Transport makes the following Order:

Citation and period in force

1.—(1) This Order is the Road Traffic (Tiong Woon Corporation Project and Contracting Pte. Ltd. — Exemption) Order 2023.

(2) This Order is in force for the period between 20 April 2023 and 30 June 2023 (both dates inclusive).

Definitions

2. In this Order —

“specified purpose” means the transportation of any load for any construction project undertaken by Tiong Woon Corporation Project and Contracting Pte. Ltd. (UEN 200516490E), a company incorporated under the Companies Act 1967;

“specified road” means any of the roads delineated by the black‑coloured line in the map set out in the First Schedule;

“specified rules” means the rules set out in the Second Schedule;

“specified vehicle” means a motor vehicle known as a self‑propelled modular trailer that —

(a)	is remotely operated through a remote control;
(b)	is used for the purpose of transporting any load; and
(c)	is capable of being driven on its own without being attached to any other vehicle.

Exemption

3. Sections 5(1) and (5), 10, 10A, 11, 12, 15, 29, 34E and 91 of the Act, and the specified rules, do not apply to (or in relation to) a specified vehicle that is used on a specified road for the specified purpose.
