Medicines (Sale and Supply by Pharmacy) Notification 2000

It is hereby notified for general information that the Medicines (Sale and Supply by Pharmacy) Notification 1999 (G.N. No. S 99/99) which specifies the medicinal products which have been granted product licences under section 5 of the Act that may be sold or supplied by a pharmacy under certain circumstances is amended in paragraph 2.

2. The Medicines (Sale and Supply by Pharmacy) Notification 1999 is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after the definition of “maximum supply” in paragraph 2(1), the following definition:

“ “minimum age” means the minimum age of a person at which a particular medicinal product may be administered;”;

(b)

by deleting the word “and” in the last line of paragraph 3(2)(b);

(c)

by deleting the full-stop at the end of sub-paragraph (c) of paragraph 3(2) and substituting the word “; and”, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following sub-paragraph:

“(d)	the medicinal product is sold or supplied to a person who is of or above any minimum age specified in the fifth column of the Second Schedule in respect of that medicinal product.”; and

(d)

by deleting the First and Second Schedules and substituting the following Schedules:
