Common Gaming Houses (Exemption) (No. 8) Notification 2008

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Common Gaming Houses Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation

1. This Notification may be cited as the Common Gaming Houses (Exemption) (No. 8) Notification 2008.

Exemption

2.—(1) The Minister hereby exempts Singapore Turf Club from the provisions of the Act in respect of the “Singapore Airlines International Cup 2008 Pick The Winner SMS Contest” promotion from 16th May 2008 to 18th May 2008 (both dates inclusive) and the draw on 18th May 2008.

(2) The exemption is subject to compliance by Singapore Turf Club with the conditions stated in the letter of approval dated 23rd April 2008.
