Poisons (Amendment) Rules 2001

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 20(1) of the Poisons Act, the Minister for Health hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Poisons (Amendment) Rules 2001 and shall come into operation on 1st July 2001.

Amendment of Second Schedule

2. The Second Schedule to the Poisons Rules (R 1) is amended by deleting the following item and its entry in Group II:

“

Poison

Substance or article in which exempted

Diamines, the following; their salts: phenylene diamines; tolylene diamines; other derivatives of benzene diamines

Substances other than preparations for the dyeing of hair.

”.

Amendment of Fifth Schedule

3. The Fifth Schedule to the Poisons Rules is amended by deleting paragraph 4.
