(Amendment No. 2) Rules 2023

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 93(2)(l) of the Moneylenders Act 2008, the Minister for Law makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Moneylenders (Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism) (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2023 and come into operation on 28 April 2023.

Amendment of rule 6G

2. In the Moneylenders (Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism) Rules 2009 (G.N. No. S 73/2009), in rule 6G(7)(b), replace “section 28 of the Monetary Authority of Singapore Act 1970” with “section 55S of the Banking Act 1970”.
