Delegation of Powers (Ministry of Finance)
(Amendment) Notification 1998
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36 of the Interpretation Act, the Minister for Finance, with the approval of the President, hereby makes the following Notification:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Notification may be cited as the Delegation of Powers (Ministry of Finance) (Amendment) Notification 1998 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st April 1998.
Amendment of Schedule
2.  The Schedule to the Delegation of Powers (Ministry of Finance) Notification 1998 (G.N. No. S 66/98) is amended —
(a)by deleting the heading “Ministry of Labour” in Parts II, III and IV and substituting in each case the heading “Ministry of Manpower”;
(b)by deleting the words “Controller of Immigration” in item 5 under the heading “Ministry of Home Affairs” in Parts II, III and IV and substituting in each case the words “Director, Singapore Immigration & Registration”;
(c)by deleting item 7 under the heading “Ministry of Home Affairs” in Parts II, III and IV; and
(d)by deleting the words “Deputy Controller of Immigration” in item 14 under the heading “Ministry of Home Affairs” in Parts II and IV and substituting in each case the words “Deputy Directors, Singapore Immigration & Registration”.
