(Expressway Traffic) (Amendment)
Rules 2013

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 114 and 140(1) of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Expressway Traffic) (Amendment) Rules 2013 and shall come into operation on 1st June 2013.

Amendment of rule 10

2. The Road Traffic (Expressway Traffic) Rules (R 23) are amended by renumbering rule 10 as paragraph (1) of that rule, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:

“(2) Paragraph (1) shall not apply to a holder of a Class 2B provisional licence who is attending a training programme known as the “Expressway Familiarisation Ride” pursuant to rule 9 of the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Driving Licences) Rules (R 27) between the hours of 9.30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on any day except public holidays.”.
