Public Entertainments and Meetings Act
(Chapter 257)
Public Entertainments and Meetings (Exemptions) (Amendment No. 2) Order 2006
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 of the Public Entertainments and Meetings Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order may be cited as the Public Entertainments and Meetings (Exemptions) (Amendment No. 2) Order 2006 and shall come into operation on 1st June 2006.
Amendment of paragraph 3
2.  Paragraph 3 of the Public Entertainments and Meetings (Exemptions) Order (O 1) is amended —
(a)by deleting the sub-heading immediately above sub-paragraph (1) and substituting the following sub-heading:
Certain performances”;
(b)by deleting the words “transvestite performance” in sub-paragraphs (1) (viii) (A), (2) (vi) and (9) (viii) and substituting in each case the words “transgender performance”;
(c)by deleting the word “and” at the end of sub-paragraph (1) (viii) (A);
(d)by inserting, immediately after sub-paragraph (B) of sub-paragraph (1) (viii), the following sub-paragraphs:
(C)  the event shall not be held at the same place for more than 3 consecutive days within a month; and
(D)  where the event is held at the same place for more than 3 consecutive days, at least 7 days shall elapse before the event is held or continues at that place;”;
(e)by inserting, immediately after sub-paragraph (ii) of sub-paragraph (4), the following sub-paragraph:
(iia)there is no transgender performance;”; and
(f)by deleting sub-paragraph (e) of sub-paragraph (10).
