(Exemption) (No. 2)
Order 2011
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 8 of the Electricity Act, the Energy Market Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Trade and Industry, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation
1.  This Order may be cited as the Electricity (Export of Electricity) (Exemption) (No. 2) Order 2011.
Exemption relating to export of electricity
2.  Section 6(1)(d) of the Act shall not apply for the period specified in the third column of the Schedule to the company specified in the first column of the Schedule in respect of electricity generated by the company for export, subject to the following conditions:
(a)the generating unit used shall be of the description specified in the second column of the Schedule;
(b)the company shall not register the generating unit under the market rules;
(c)the company shall inject the electricity generated using the generating unit into the transmission system for purposes of the export thereof notwithstanding sub-paragraph (b); and
(d)the company shall comply with —
(i)any direction by the Authority given under section 17 of the Act in relation to the generation or export of the electricity; and
(ii)any direction by the Authority to cease or suspend the export of the electricity given in any circumstances, including (but not limited to) the quantity of piped natural gas delivered to any importer of such gas in Singapore being less than the amount contracted for or otherwise.
