Environmental Pollution Control (Composition of Offences) Regulations 1999

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 76(1) of the Environmental Pollution Control Act 1999, the Minister for the Environment hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Environmental Pollution Control (Composition of Offences) Regulations 1999 and shall come into operation on 1st July 1999.

Composition of offences

2. The following offences may be compounded by the Director or any authorised officer in accordance with section 72(1) of the Act:

(a)	any offence under section 11 (1), 12(1), 14(2), 15(1), 16(3), 23(3) or 35(6) of the Act;
(b)	any offence under regulation 5 of the Environmental Pollution Control (Control of Noise at Construction Sites) Regulations 1999 (G.N. No. S 157/99) in connection with any contravention or failure to comply with regulation 3 of those Regulations;
(c)	any offence under regulation 6 of the Environmental Pollution Control (Boundary Noise Limits for Factory Premises) Regulations 1999 (G.N. No. S 156/99) in connection with any contravention or failure to comply with regulation 3 of those Regulations;
(d)	any offence under regulation 12 of the Environmental Pollution Control (Trade Effluent) Regulations 1999 (G.N. No. S 160/99) in connection with any contravention or failure to comply with regulation 3, 4, 7, 8, 9 or 10 of those Regulations;
(e)	any offence under regulation 24 of the Environmental Pollution Control (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 1999 (G.N. No. S 159/99) in connection with any contravention or failure to comply with regulation 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 18 or 21(3) of those Regulations; and
(f)	any offence under regulation 11(2), 12(4) or (6), 15(7), 19(2), 20(2), 21(3) or 22(2) of the Environmental Pollution Control (Vehicular Emissions) Regulations 1999 (G.N. No. S 291/99).

Made this 30th day of June 1999.
