Employment of Foreign Workers (Exemption)
Notification 1998

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Employment of Foreign Workers Act, the Minister for Manpower hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Employment of Foreign Workers (Exemption) Notification 1998 and shall come into operation on 1st June 1998.

Exemption

2. Any foreigner who holds —

(a)	a special pass issued by the Controller of Immigration under regulation 15 of the Immigration Regulations (Cap.133, Rg 1); and
(b)	a letter issued by the Controller of Work Permits permitting him to work,

is exempted from the provisions of the Act.
