(Chapter 107)
Films (Licensing and Classification) (Amendment) Regulations 2004
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 41 of the Films Act, the Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Films (Licensing and Classification) (Amendment) Regulations 2004 and shall come into operation on 1st June 2004.
Amendment of regulation 6
2.  Regulation 6(1) of the Films (Licensing and Classification) Regulations 2003 (G.N. No. S 456/2003) (referred to in these Regulations as the principal Regulations) is amended by deleting “$20,000” and substituting “$30,000”.
Amendment of regulation 7
3.  Regulation 7 of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “ “R(A)” or “NC-16” ”and substituting the words “ “R21”, “M18” and “NC16” ”.
Deletion and substitution of Schedule
4.  The Schedule to the principal Regulations is deleted and the following Schedule substituted therefor:

Fees
(1) Licence for all or any of the following businesses:
 
 
(a) importing films
)
)
)
)
(i) $1,200 for 12 months; or
(ii) $3,000 for 36 months.
(b) making films
 
 
(c) distributing films
 
 
(2) Licence for all or any of the following businesses:
 
 
(a) importing films (excluding “R21”, “M18” and “NC16” category films)
)
)
)
)
)
)
)
)
)
)
 
 
(i) $600 for 12 months; or
(ii) $1,500 for 36 months.
(b) making films (excluding “R21”, “M18” and “NC16” category films)
 
 
(c) distributing films (excluding “R21”, “M18” and “NC16” category films)
 
 
(3) Licence for the business of exhibiting films (excluding “G” and “PG” category films) in one or more exhibition points
)
)
)
)
(i) $650 for 12 months;
(ii) $1,500 for 36 months; or
(iii) $3,000 for 60 months.
 
 
 
(4) Licence for each distribution point for temporary distribution of films
 
$6 per day or $100 per month.
 
 
 
(5) Licence for each exhibition point for temporary exhibition of films (excluding “G” and “PG” category films)
 
$100 per month or part thereof.”.
