Extradition (Commonwealth Countries)
(Consolidation) (Amendment) Declaration 1998

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 18 of the Extradition Act, the Minister for Law hereby makes the following Declaration:

Citation and commencement

1. This Declaration may be cited as the Extradition (Commonwealth Countries) (Consolidation) (Amendment) Declaration 1998 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st July 1997.

Amendment of Declaration

2. The Extradition (Commonwealth Countries) (Consolidation) Declaration (Decl 1) is amended by deleting the word “Hongkong” from the list of countries declared to be Commonwealth countries for the purposes of Part IV of the Act.
