Parking Places
(Provision of Parking Places and
Parking Lots) (Amendment) Rules 2023

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 22 of the Parking Places Act 1974, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Parking Places (Provision of Parking Places and Parking Lots) (Amendment) Rules 2023 and come into operation on 1 June 2023.

Amendment of rule 8

2. In the Parking Places (Provision of Parking Places and Parking Lots) Rules 2018 (G.N. No. S 286/2018), in rule 8 —

(a)

in paragraph (1), replace sub‑paragraph (b) with —

“(b)

provision of indoor parking places and parking lots in any development of land only for residential use, for commercial use, or for both residential and commercial uses, as mentioned in rule 3(2) —

(i)	for the first, second or third submission of the application in respect of those indoor parking places and parking lots — Nil; and
(ii)	for the fourth or each subsequent submission of the application in respect of those indoor parking places and parking lots — $300 per application;”; and

(b)

after paragraph (3), insert —

“(4) The Authority may, in any particular case or class of cases, reduce, waive or refund the whole or any part of any fee paid or payable under these Rules.”.
