Environmental Protection and Management Act
(Chapter 94A)
Environmental Pollution Control (Composition of Offences) (Amendment) Regulations 2007
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 77(1) of the Environmental Protection and Management Act, the National Environment Agency, with the approval of the Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Environmental Pollution Control (Composition of Offences) (Amendment) Regulations 2007 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2008.
Amendment of title
2.  The Environmental Pollution Control (Composition of Offences) Regulations (Rg 7) (referred to in these Regulations as the principal Regulations) are amended by deleting the words “ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION CONTROL” in the title and substituting the words “ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND MANAGEMENT”.
Amendment of regulation 1
3.  Regulation 1 of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “Environmental Pollution Control” and substituting the words “Environmental Protection and Management”.
Amendment of regulation 2
4.  Regulation 2 of the principal Regulations is amended —
(a)by deleting paragraph (a) and substituting the following paragraph:
(a)any offence under section 11(1), 12 (1), 14 (2), 15 (1), 16 (3), 23 (3), 35 (6), 40C (2), 40D (5), 40I (4), 40J (2) or 40K of the Act;”;
(b)by deleting the word “and” at the end of paragraph (d); and
(c)by deleting the full-stop at the end of paragraph (f) and substituting a semi-colon, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:
(g)any offence under regulation 4 (2), 5 (2), 7 (4) or 8 (1) or (2) of the Environmental Protection and Management (Energy Conservation) Regulations 2007 (G.N. No. S 311/2007).”.
