Road Traffic (Expressway Traffic) (Amendment) Rules 2004

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 114 and 140 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Expressway Traffic) (Amendment) Rules 2004 and shall come into operation on 10th June 2004.

Amendment of rule 12

2. Rule 12 of the Road Traffic (Expressway Traffic) Rules (R 23) is amended by deleting “50 kmph” in paragraph (1) and in the rule heading and substituting in each case “60 kmph”.

Amendment of rule 15

3. Rule 15 of the Road Traffic (Expressway Traffic) Rules is amended —

(a)

by deleting the word “or” at the end of paragraph (b); and

(b)

by deleting the comma at the end of paragraph (c) and substituting the word “; or”, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:

“(d)	a motor vehicle owned or authorised by the Authority for the purpose of executing the Authority’s functions,”.
