Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) (Amendment No. 6) Rules 2009

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 34 and 140 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) (Amendment No. 6) Rules 2009 and shall come into operation on 17th July 2009.

Amendment of rule 35

2. Rule 35 of the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) Rules (R 5) (referred to in these Rules as the principal Rules) is amended by deleting paragraph (3).

Deletion of rule 41A

3. Rule 41A of the principal Rules is deleted.

Amendment of rule 63

4. Rule 63 of the principal Rules is amended —

(a)	by deleting “35(3),”; and
(b)	by deleting “35,” in the rule heading.

Amendment of First Schedule

5. The First Schedule to the principal Rules is amended by deleting Part III.
