Road Traffic (Prescribed Offence under Section 127A) Rules 2003

In exercise of the powers conferred by the definition of “prescribed offence” in section 127A(5) of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Prescribed Offence under section 127A) Rules 2003 and shall come into operation on 14th July 2003.

Prescribed offence under section 127A of Act

2. For the purposes of section 127A of the Act, the offence stated in rule 36A(3) of the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Vocational Licences and Conduct of Drivers, Conductors and Passengers) Rules (R 8) shall be a prescribed offence to which that section applies.
