Public Entertainments and Meetings Act

Public Entertainments and Meetings (Exemption) (No. 2) Order 2004
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 of the Public Entertainments and Meetings Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order may be cited as the Public Entertainments and Meetings (Exemption) (No. 2) Order 2004 and shall come into operation on 21st June 2004.
Exemption
2.  Any public entertainment (not being arts entertainment as defined in the Schedule to the Act) which is held in a building or tent is exempted from the requirement in section 12 of the Act that the licence for such public entertainment be prominently displayed at the building or tent, if the following conditions are complied with:
(a)the licence shall be kept in the possession of the licensee; and
(b)the licensee shall produce the licence on demand by the Licensing Officer or any police officer for inspection.
