Town Councils Act
(Chapter 329A)
Town Councils (Exclusion of Property from Town Councils) (Consolidation) (Amendment) Order 1997
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2)(c) of the Town Councils Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order may be cited as the Town Councils (Exclusion of Property from Town Councils) (Consolidation) (Amendment) Order 1997 and shall come into operation on 1st February 1997.
New paragraph 3
2.  The Town Councils (Exclusion of Property from Town Councils) (Consolidation) Order (O 3) is amended by inserting, immediately after paragraph 2, the following paragraph:
“3.  The Act shall not apply to the following properties of the Housing and Development Board established under the Housing and Development Act (Cap. 129) which are located within any Town:
(a)all land licensed by the Board to any person as site for taxi kiosk, public telephone, Call Zone box and outdoor refreshment area; and
(b)all land leased by the Board to any person for use as site for automated teller machine and multimedia kiosk.”.
