Town Council of Bishan-toa Payoh
(Penalties and Administrative Fee for Late Payment of Conservancy and Service Charges and Licence Fees)
(Amendment) By-laws 2000

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 (2)(a) and (c) of the Town Councils Act, the Town Council for the Town of Bishan-Toa Payoh hereby makes the following By-laws:

Citation and commencement

1. These By-laws may be cited as the Town Council of Bishan-Toa Payoh (Penalties and Administrative Fee for Late Payment of Conservancy and Service Charges and Licence Fees) (Amendment) By-laws 2000 and shall come into operation on 1st August 2000.

Amendment of by-law 2

2. By-law 2 of the Town Council of Bishan-Toa Payoh (Penalties and Administrative Fee for Late Payment of Conservancy and Service Charges and Licence Fees) By-laws (By 6) is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately before the words “in respect of the first month” in the 1st line of paragraph (1)(a), the words “in the case of residential units,”;

(b)

by deleting the word “and” at the end of paragraph (1)(a);

(c)

by inserting, immediately before the words “for every subsequent month” in the 1st line of paragraph (1)(b), the words “in the case of residential units,”; and

(d)

by deleting the full-stop at the end of sub-paragraph (b) of paragraph (1) and substituting the word “; and”, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following sub-paragraph:

“(c)	in the case of commercial units and Temporary Occupational Licences, for every month in which there is an arrears, there shall be imposed a penalty of $10.”.

Amendment of Schedule

3. The Schedule to the Town Council of Bishan-Toa Payoh (Penalties and Administrative Fee for Late Payment of Conservancy and Service Charges and Licence Fees) By-laws is amended by deleting the words “OR LICENCE FEES” in the heading and substituting the words “FOR RESIDENTIAL UNITS”.
