Public Utilities (Tariffs for Water)
(Amendment) Regulations 1998

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 20 and 130 of the Public Utilities Act, the Public Utilities Board, with the approval of the Minister for Trade and Industry, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Public Utilities (Tariffs for Water) (Amendment) Regulations 1998 and shall come into operation on 1st July 1998.

Deletion and substitution of Schedule

2. The Schedule to the Public Utilities (Tariffs for Water) Regulations 1998 (G.N. No. S 210/98) is deleted and the following Schedule substituted therefor:

“THE SCHEDULE

Regulations 2 to 6

Domestic Tariff

Consumption Block

Cubic metres per month

Cents per cubic metre

1st Block

1-20

2nd Block

Follow-on-rate

tariff for shipping

Flat rate of 199 cents per cubic metre.

NON-Domestic Tariff

Flat rate of 117 cents per cubic metre.”.

Transitional provision

3. Notwithstanding regulation 2, the Board may, in its discretion, apply the revoked tariffs to the July 1998 cycle of meter readings as a transitional arrangement.
