Road Traffic (Prescribed Offence Under
section 127A) (Amendment) Rules 2016

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 140(1) of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Road Traffic (Prescribed Offence Under section 127A) (Amendment) Rules 2016 and come into operation on 29 July 2016.

Amendment of rule 2

2. Rule 2 of the Road Traffic (Prescribed Offence under section 127A) Rules (R 44) is amended by deleting the words “and rule 36A(3) of the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Vocational Licences and Conduct of Drivers, Conductors and Passengers) Rules (R 8)” and substituting the words “, and in section 131(1)(c) of the Act read with rule 26C(1) of the Road Traffic Rules (R 20),”.
